Buckland & the Brecon Beacons
Until recent times, the 25,000 acres of the expansive Buckland estate enveloped the mythical Brecon Beacons mountains. From the days of a medieval Prince of Wales to the last Lord Buckland, the estate has been home to many generations of families.
It was one of the inspirations for J R R Tolkien when stayed in nearby Talybont-on-Usk writing parts of Lord of the Rings. Now its doors welcome you to experience the comfort and warmth of this idyllic country mansion.
Buckland Hall is set in the stunning countryside of the Brecon Beacons National Park, surrounded by mountains with majestic views along the Usk Valley. It is a sublime location for a venue for weddings, celebrations or, indeed, any type of residential and non-residential gathering or event.
Buckland Hall offers the perfect scene for your wedding photographs both indoor and out. There are over 60 acres of gardens, pastures and possibly the best arboretum in Wales. You'll find secret gardens, stairways to hidden walks, an ancient maze, 400m of rhododendrons and a lovely lake.
